Executive Summary
The need for change inspired a core group of individuals to establish United Children's Services, Inc. The agency is founded upon the belief of hope, change, and success. Through our personal and professional lives, we have seen what is unproductive, costly, and lacking in out-of-home services for children. We believe we have solutions. Basically, we will keep our promises, our commitments and will exceed State standards for care and service provisions. We will include the child, significant relationships/natural family and the foster family in the process of reunification or other permanency arrangements and encourage everyone's input. We will develop new relationships with the child and ensure that family bonds are maintained. We will help repair damaged relationships. We will guarantee regular, quality, mental health treatment. We will employee foster parents, therapeutic and administrative staff with experience, integrity and determination. We will promise to facilitate a significant decrease in the child's initial level of care prior to discharge through these efforts. Our focus will remain on the child's stability, permanency and success.
Our Mission
We are answering God's Call to provide compassionate, quality care and services for abused, neglected and dependent children, to recognize, acknowledge and act in a manner advocating in the best interest of and for the child's future regardless of the obstacles.
Operating Status
United Children's Services, Inc. will initially operate as a corporation, while awaiting review of the agency's not-for-profit application; the agency will operate as a private child placing agency respective of the Kentucky Private Child Caring Regulations. United Children's Services, Inc. is dedicated to serving children and families regardless of race, creed, nationality, gender, disability or religious preferences.
